On the New Society:

Old ways will not get us new results.

In the spirit of Kujichagulia (self-determination), Fawohodie (independence), and Sankofa (remembrance), we have gone back to fetch only that which has served us well, and to build upon those assets to create the Society we want to see in this New Day.

As a People tempered by a continual challenge from all directions in trying to establish the space in which we finally define ourselves, and for ourselves, we look to the South, the East, West, and land at our True North in realization of the present as being the most powerful position to determine the outcomes of our collective Black Futures.

In the South we find the land of our Ancestral power; where a New Culture was first created by songs sharing the vibrations of Faith, which only strengthened the resolve now displayed by red brick fired from red clay, which reminds us we are on solid ground.

In the East, we see the royalty that abundance creates; and in each pattern, each carving, each rhythm, each habitat, and in each hue, we are reminded that we descend from royals. We build today with patterns, carvings, rhythm, habitats, and hues to show the rest of the world that we haven’t forgotten, and neither should the world ever forget who we are again.

And in the West, we claim the technological advances that sprouted from the harnessing of the power of a diverse collective. We now know that the whole is best served when each person knows they possess the possibility of contribution and are encouraged to do so for their own self benefit of actualization.

We have found the New North Star through our embrace of The Blackness, and as we continue to journey toward a freer, faster, more equitable, and more inclusive Society, we declare that this Future is bright with Promise.

And that Promise is that We Will Have a Shared Prosperity.
